I would wonder why someone would join up just to lie about their salary? Also, there are still retailers with final pension salary schemes and the discount/perks on offer are standard for companies such as Sainsburys. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. I can assure you I'm definitely not telling fibs - why would I?
And I have more than one year's experience - I started my job in consulting just after I had turned 22, and started my more recent job at a retailer just before I turned 24 - so I had two years experience after graduating, one year while an undergraduate.
There are still a few companies that have final salary pension schemes, and I'm fortunate enough to work for one of them.

Career history;
Waitress at Aintree Racecourse - minimum wage for an under 18 in 2010, no benefits, generally horrendous work!
Sales Assistant at Pumpkin Patch UK - £5.40 p/h (I had an 8 hour contract), no sick pay, 25% discount on full priced stock items.
Sales Assistant at Next - £6.24 p/h (I had a pay rise not long after I started, 3p! Originally employed on £6.21) Started on a contract of 11 hours, cut to 3 and a half hours, cut to three hours!! 25% discount on clothes, plus getting first dibs on Next sale stock. We had to wear Next clothes, which we were able to buy on a discount of 75%, but anything you bought, what was taken off it was removed from your allowance (Which was varied, depending on your contract), so you could only spend your allowance of discount.
E.g. I had a £75 allowance, based on a 3 hour contract, so if I bought a top for £20 it cost me £5 and £15 came off my allowance, leaving me £60. Your allowance was 'filled up' again at the start of the new season (August and January).
Sales Associate at Forever 21 - £6.60 p/h (20 hour contract), 10% discount on full price merchandise, plus no uniform rules
Events Assistant with a City Council - £10.60 p/h. Hard work, very fun. Only 'benefit' is getting to see events and concerts for free and getting to meet some great people, artists and celebrities. Favourite job.0 -
Legal Secretary - £20 per hourPink Sproglettes born 2008 and 2010
Mortgages (End 2017) - £180,235.03
(End 2021) - £131,215.25 DID IT!!!
(End 2022) - Target £116,213.810 -

I don't know what was wrong with the now deleted posting , but we might learn something useful about the Indian numbering system:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indian_Numbering_System
Assuming the L means lakh then Rs 4.0L looks like about £4,000 a year.
Consider yourself lucky and ask yourself why your efforts are so much more valuable that those of an Indian.

Probably because my skills mean that I don't have to resort to going around spamming forums to advertise crappy websites and are therefore worth the XX times his pay that I earn.0 -
Tell me that you have the skills to spam an Indian web site and I will believe you.0

You don't need any skills to be a pathetic spammer - you just sign up for the forum, post your crap and then move on to the next forum.
I could probably hire someone on a freelance website and pay them a few quid to do the same thing - so as I said, his 4k a year is a good wage for the 'job' he does.0
