    Debt-free and Proud!
I work 6 days a week across two jobs for a total of about £22k before tax. Saturday job is a lettings assistant and work Monday - Friday as an Apprenticeship Advsior, and worked bloody hard to get a good job. Still a MSE and always will be, got £5k to pay off.
Debt free since July 2013! Woo hoo! The bank actually laughed when I said I have come in to cancel my overdraft.

I've just got my first full-time job! Yay!
So now, my partner brings in £1000 a month working 37.5 hours + 15 hours overtime as a laboratory technician.

I'll bring in just over £700 a month working 37.5 hours.... as a laboratory technician too! :)

I'm 42 and a civil servant - manager of communications unit in central government department - managing a team of 41 people.
    Salary 63k
    30 days annual leave
2.5 extra days on top of 8 bank holidays
    FS pension
Flexible working arrangement including working one day a week from home (with laptop and mobile phone provided).
Free training, which to date has included Prince 2 Project management, finance and procurement certificates.

I am also studying part-time to qualify as a counsellor - I still have three years of part-time study and supervised practice to go - but when it's over I will be able to set up my own counselling practice, possibly charging £10+ per hour. I have never complained about work because I know how incredibly lucky I am.

It's all relative though....I mean if you earn more you will probably get a bigger mortgage, have bigger bills so you can end up with just as little money left at the end of the month, especially if my sis & bil are anything to go by, he earns far more than mine & oh salaries combined and yet they have far less spare money & far more debts!
