CPW/E2Save - Idiots?

Well, something stupid has occured on one of my accounts.

I've had a contract with E2Save since last year March, it finished this year and i ported the number onto O2 PAYG, sent off my final cashback claim which I was up to now recieving the others before it fine..

Now this is the !!!! up - I sent off the final cashback in early April, and got a text a few days later that it was succesful and I will get the check in 35 days.

Fast foward 35+ days to now, no check nothing, nada!

So; I decide to ring up E2Save(remember this contract is now OVER)...get through to the cashback department, give my old customer number from the sales invoice I had, and then i was asked to confirm my address...

I confirm it, and they say thats not the address they have on file? I haven't changed it or moved house or done anything at all. I was speaking to a helpful girl at the time, she said she can't do anything till this is fixed, so she gave me her email so I could send proof my address via form of scanned bill etc.

I did this today morning, not a word back yet.

What I think has happend is, some idiot has accidently changed the address on my account while thinking he was updating someone elses account, meaning that my final cashback cheque went to that address and not mine. It's weird because I recieved my final bill ok(this comes directly from o2).

Now I'm firstly writing all of this up to document my experience with the company; and secondly to ask for advice. How should i go about chasing this up? I've sent the proof of address now, how long shall I give them? What can i say to them?

Thank You

I had a similar screw up with them a few years ago where my Cashbacks were arriving with someone elses name on them. Took AGES to sort out.

Dont mess about. Send them a "Letter before action" informing them that they have 7/14 days from the date of the letter to send your cashback otherwise you will take legal action.

Feel free to PM me if you want a sample of the wording.

    Regards

    Hi mate,

Thanks for the reply. I will probably give a few days for that email to come if they DO reply...and I shall also give a ring to the same people tomorrow. Then i'll follow up with stronger action!

I'll let you know what happens!
