Asda multibuy on sweets - warning

Do not do as I did and misread their sign. I read "3 FOR £2" as "3 FOR 2".

The bags of sweets are 67p each. I'll leave you to calculate the multibuy saving to be had when you buy three, as I did.

They get loads of the readers on www.bitterwallet.com to send pictures of these miss printed labels in from supermarkets offering a deal on 2 or 3 items that is actually more expensive than buying them indivudally. The price for the indivual purchase is normally visible in the back ground. The vast majority are from Tesco. Take a picture and send it in, they love publishing them

You would think a 'Multimillion' pound co as ASDA would give a bit more allowance on 3 x 67p sweets!!

On a similar incident, We once stopped off at a pub for a meal, The sign outside said 3 for 2??

A local farmer always used to say 'STAY AWAY FROM THOSE BLOODY SUPERMARKETS WILL YOU'

I can partly agree with that.

Morrisson's had a similar idiocy a couple of weeks ago. At 68p per bag their offer was more generous than Asda's - a whole four pence off!
  • I found energy saving light bulbs at asda a while ago £1 each or 3 for £1. we stocked up!

ASDA also had marge on offer recently. £1.15 for one or 2 for £1.00!!!!

The offer has now changed to 2 for £1.50 so I wonder if it was an error in the first instance.
