Windows explorer - open in " My Computer "

Hi,

Came across this little gem while trawling through my old customisation tweaks:-

Fed up with explorer opening with My Documents? Easy Peasy...

1. Place a copy of the windows explorer shortcut onto your desktop
2. Right-Click on it and choose "Properties" from the menu.
3. In the "Target" box, edit it to read:- %windir%\explorer.exe /e,
4. (Note the comma at the end)
5. In the "Start in" box:- leave it empty

Click on OK etc.

Now when you click on this desktop explorer shortcut it starts with "My Computer" at the top of the listing and opened to show your drives.

I think the following options actually start with drive c: open and listed...

%SystemRoot%\explorer.exe /n, /e, C:\


OR....

%windir%\explorer.exe /e,/root,::{20d04fe0-3aea-1069-a2d8-08002b30309d}


Please Note: All these options ONLY work with a copy of the explorer shortcut. They don't work if you edit the properties of the explorer that is on your start button.
