in Credit cards
Hi all, I've received a call from a company called "cancel your loan" stating that for a fee of £195.00 per card they can possibly write off my credit card loans as long as I took the card out before April 2007. Could you guys please advise whether this is a scam or whether I could be holidaying in the Maldives if this is true?
Thanks
Thanks

I'd forget the Maldives and use that £195.00 towards paying off your credit card bill.0

Yea you can but evidently the OP wants to consider unenforceability so why thrust 'repayment' back at him? He doesn't legally have to pay if it is unenforceable - that is all i'm trying to point out. Too many people on here slag off unenforceability and cry 'pay it back - you owe it' but they forget, you don't owe anything if a debt is unenforceable (well you don't owe in in the respect of having to pay it).... so yea, if the OP owes £10k and wants to go on jollies as opposed to paying then great - i'm all for it.
If he decides to pay, great - i'm all for it. Whatever he decides is good enough advice - not thrusting a guilt trip at him.
p.s your advice is sound lol - i'm just having a mid afternoon rant ;-)2010 - year of the troll

So sorry to have offended. I had a free afternoon today as I normally DON'T have time to sit around reading all day, nor have a job which permits this as you obviously have (how sad! you must be so bored to have time to respond so quickly to at least 30 posts of junk a day!!!). Maybe you could be a little more welcoming to us "newbies" and signpost intead of being downright offensive!0 -
