TCB and vodafone

I've just had a 'discussion' with someone at vodafone about topcashback. He informed me that only the 16 deals listed on the link from topcashback would be valid to get cashback (despite their being numerous sim only and mobile broadband specific cashbacks which aren't mentioned in the 16 deals).
I assumed once the link was followed you could just move around the vodafone website as necessary to find the right deal?
He also told me that there would be an issue with the PAC I used which would prevent the contract and that I needed to contact topcashback to cancel the contract!!
I'm sure he was getting TCB confused with one of the many mobile specific sites out there but has anyone else heard this story?

The vodafone chap is probably correct. Quidco actually tell you which deals are applicable for a cashback and how much you can expect to get if you signed up to specific contract or deal.

Even with Quidco, you have to be careful about the terms used - but its probably more clearer than other cashback sites.

I have not used topcashback so cant tell what their deal is but if they do not tell you beforehand on their site what is valid and what is not valid for cashback - then its best to avoid.

I'm not sure, Quidco has exactly the same information and cashback for vodafone as Topcashback but links though to the vodafone front page (I don't know if the link changes if you're logged in to Quidco?). I certainly think the vodafone guy was wrong when he said my contract would have to be cancelled with topcashback as it was with them (I gave up trying to explain he was thinking of the wrong sort of cashback!).
