Nokia 3120 delivery reports

Hi
Copuple of queries with the Nokia 3120 I've just bought on 3.
1. When I sent a text message there's no tone sound to say it has been sent (as in my previous nokia phones).
2. I can find the delivery report inbox, but despite thefact I have sent text messages it says 'empty'. Nor is there any options to turn delivery reports on/off?
Can anyone help please?
