Me again. yes its safe. Ive downloaded from the link given and its the same file that ive been using. I would suggest just going to keywallet.com without the other bits in the link to get to the home page read all about it. on the homepage you can see a demo of the prog in use .Ive used keywallet for about 2 years for all of my banking, utilities, msn, shopping etc etc and have never had any problems with it. I understand everyones worry about security, I use about 8 different programs to protect my machine. You can use keywallet safely in my experience, just give it a good password.0

whitty999 wrote:i really want to instal this but a little wary anyone know if its really safe,Come on all you computer wizards please post to confirm its safe.
I wrote the orginal post and I work in IT Tech Support so I guess I know a little (so they say). Not fully tested it for secuirty because I don't belive in leaving any passwords stored on my PC what's so ever. By this I mean important ones like bank logins, e_mail etc.
I use keywallet for accounts such as competitions and fun and therefore stuff that I not bothered about if people could crack it. It's looks ok and secuire but I just don't feel happy leaving important details on my PC even thow that is highly secuire too.
The botton line is, it is perfectly safe for non-important data and this type of use.

If only I had a pound for every time I used the thanks button0 -
Ive just looked at the demo and I agree it lost me and Im used to using it. I cant install it again without it wiping out my current installation. So Ill have to asume you've got that done. With keywallet running click NEW KEY top right. Now click CREATE KEY MANUALLY next. KEY NAME = Barclays bank or BT or whatever will identify this key, then ADD FIELD. Field name type password or login. Field Value is where you type the actual password or login detail. Then click ok. You keep adding Fields like email address or whatever you need for this key then press next. Ignore the next page unless you want to type in a web address then press finish. just done that on mine and ive created a key called no name because i didnt fill in any details but if you click on the plus sign you should see the fields that you entered. To use you just grag the fields to the boxes oyu need to fill in. Now have another look at the demo on keywallet.com. It might make a bit more sense. Hope this makes sense!0

On the previous thread (now closed) Annette mentioned that you can fill in the form automatically by the follwowing method:
"You can also cut down the time without doing that. When you get the sorry or congratulations message right click just above it and when you get the drop down list of options click on rewind. It will take you back to your filled in page."
Clearly, this isn't idiot-proof enough for me 'cos I don't get any list of options, and if I click the back button I just get a blank form again. Could anyone help?0 -
No, I've done it! What a palaver, though - you have to click in exactly the right place. After a bit, no make that a lot! of clicking, I finally got it if I clicked the tiniest fraction above the first line of the message0
