Retrieve contact details from PC

Hi all,

i have lost my MOTO A1000 and in the process lost all contact details. i did a wise thing sometime back by keeping a backup in my PC.

now the best thing is i don't know how to retrieve the same.... could anyone please help me to retrieve the nos from my PC.

How did you save them, ? did you use software or just entered them into excel/ word ?.

If you know the name you saved it under then just goto start/ search then search for the file. Or if you don't know the file name but know the extension of the file ie excel .xls then search for *.xls that will bring up all files from excel though.

Then when you find the numbers , you'll have to enter them manually into your new phone.

i used a software supplied with the phone. it was proper backup. i know the directory where it's saved the problem is what's the extension also i can see 3 files with .cab extension. i presume its saved in .cab file as they seems to be extremly large size.

In that case just load up the software again and you should be able to search your pc for the file. Or reinstall the software if you deleted it and still have the CD.
