Doh.
If they are stupid enough to do this then I suggest the person doesn't drive.
not everyone is as knowledgable as you when it comes to cars.
making sarcastic or tongue in cheek replies to people who have asked genuine questions helps no-one.
Keen photographer with sales in the UK and abroad.
Willing to offer advice on camera equipment and photography if i can!0 -
why exactly do people want their cars to sound as if the exhaust is blowing? I hate it!!0

Noisy cars are driven by idiots.
Why would you want to be an annoying idiot?0 -
Apart from a induction kit which will improve the engine note i don't think there is much you can do without changing the exhaust.
Check out the prodrive pack from Sub or give Litchfield Imports a shout. They're pretty !!!!!! hot on impreza's if they can't help you they will point you in the right direction.0 -

We are talking about a £20k+ car here not some chaved corsa. I think the OP just wants to be able to feel like his sports car has the sound to match the pace. Nothing wrong with that. It doesn't mean you'll be able to hear him from the next county.0 -
I LOVE the subaru boxer "burble"..but IMO it's best as stock. No stupid "whoosh-tish" dump valves, no "fart in a well echo" exhausts..just the stock rumble.
And if you buy a 20k motor, more power to you, but does it not occur that maybe, just maybe Subaru engineers know what's best for their engines in terms of induction/exhausts to achieve good power/economy/emissions? Why !!!!!! about with their calculated design? A properly designed perfomance system, maybe..but not some godawful tat from motorworld..
If you love your car, get expert advice and good quality tested and purpose designed modified parts, if you feel the need.
Try this owners club..they may be able to advise better?
