I'm sadder about the lack of traffic and the good contributers who simply got bored of the carping and visciousness between individuals or groups of ''bears'' and ''bulls'' (I notice for example a certain group of people who thank each other frequently never thank my posts even when I'm supporting their opinion!)
The board is poorer for its lack of diversity of opinion and smaller numbers of regular contributers now.
The board is not what it was, I used to find it really good entertainment.'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. Well in the terms of MSE's location for most posters at least I'm an emmigrant not an immigrant.
You are an immigrant to the people you have to mix with in person'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. Oh Generali is just a 'whinging pomme'. Joking aside I too find many of the immigrant comments and for that matter the aspersions about people who claim benefits distasteful.0

Probably best to not read them, and certainly not post on those threads.
I find it amazing how often posters who I believe to be quite sensible and level headed get drawn into these threads which are obviously only created to cause offense and mayhem on the boards.
The less people get drawn into these threads, the more likely the originators will be, of getting bored with starting them.'In nature, there are neither rewards nor punishments - there are Consequences.'0 -

Good advice which I have, in the main, followed. Wish I could sort out a bit better in my own mind how the economy is going to fare in the next few years. Interesting though to see the views on the economy here, much of it seems more authentic than more mainstream sources, often with the hidden agenda of trying to restore 'confidence'. My wife doesn't understand though, she thinks I revel in doom and gloom. Never mind.

On the topic of immigration threads, particularly the Sleeping Rough one. I find it interesting to hear the views of a BNP supporter, especially one who is reasonably articulate. When it's not a rant, on either side, which is rare admittedly, there is stuff that can be interesting to hear if only to freshen up arguments as to why "I will never vote for them".
Of course I don't like the racist nonsense, but then neither do I like the ganging up on Carolt (for example), or anybody really who doesn't agree with me.
Last bit not true. Some of the people I like best on here are bulls <spit>.0 -
Point of order Mr Chairman - there are no moderators on this board, "abuse" only read threads that are referred to them. So to get an answer someone will have to refer to the original post to abuse...0

Sorry about the bold text I can't seem to get rid of it0 -
>Immigration is primarily a political topic...<
I disagree - it's a core component of the political economy and we should be free to discuss how the immigration foisted on us by Labour (and indeed emigration) has intended and unintended consequences for the economy, markets, production and prices.0
