Various Questions re: My T-Mobile Contract/Phone
My 18 mth contract expired last mth so I'm now entitled to upgrade etc. Now I'm still happy with my Nokia N73 but o.h. (currently on Orange PAYG £10/mth) is wanting one of the new Nokia's (sorry can't remember which). Now Vodafone have a v. good offer on this at the mo which would save us £5/mth) It was therefore my intention to upgrade to the new Nokia (for o.h.) and keep my N73 handset for myself - providing I could transfer my existing number to Orange PAYG sim (or similar, best available sim for £10/mth) - can I do this?
After speaking with T-Mobile they can't even come close to the Vodafone offer. Not too fussed as their signal is never that great in my house compared to Orange anyway!
Now here's where I have all the questions:
Assuming I can transfer existing no to PAYG sim and use N73 handset as a PAYG phone - please someone advise, I'm thinking of giving my 30 days notice and going with Vodafone. Thing is the N73 (typically) is now playing up - takes ages to access messages (this has been happening for a while), occasionally overheats after charging, if battery goes completely or I am forced to switch off the phone 9/10 times I get the 'insert sim' message despite the sim never having been removed (again this has been happening for a while) and in the last few days when I make/receive calls sometimes the person on the other end can't hear me (this resolves after I switch off the phone and turn it back on). As I'm still paying the usual monthly amount even though the contract has 'expired' can/should I expect T-Mobile to repair my handset before I actually cancel?
