Is there a handset that counts texts sent?

It's good to be able to keep track of your monthly allowance of texts/calls. Most phones keep a tally of total amount of time used for calls which can be reset each month. Does anyone know if there are there any phones that keep a running total of text messages sent? Preferably without having to keep all outgoing messages in the outbox.

    Not sure on a full list of them however the two that i have both do. I thought that all recent ones do, sure someone will correct me though.

    They are the nokia 6230 and the SE W800i

    I only discovered yesterday that my pretty basic Nokia 3120 has a message counter (for sent and received) in the menu, and it keeps details even after the messages are deleted - for example, I still have the times and dates of O2_Roaming welcome messages when crossing borders. You could reset it on the billing date

    from what i know, many new phones in the market now have the ability to store "sent" messages....a quick look in that folder of your phone should tell you how many messages have been sent so far i guess.

    With virgin contracts if you have texts and minutes in your package you ring them free on 789 and they tell you straight away how many texts and minutes you have left by an automated system, no hanging on and pressing several buttons!
    I am NOT a mortgage & insurance adviser - or anything to do with finance, that was put on by the new system I dont know why?!

    my Samsung D500 has a outbox, which counts all sent text's

    doesnt that take up space and so you have to delete the 'sent messages' now and again
