Help! My son wants the top spec Virgin Fibre Optic50Mb broadband and I want the phone package which includes all calls. It comes to £53 per month. Does anyone know how we can save money on that please? Also, does anyone have experience of this new service and how reluiable it is ? Thanks.

The question to ask is, does he really need the 50Mb package? The phone i can understand as we all like a natter, but think i would be trying to downgrade him a bit on the inet, it's really not needed for home use imo. I used to have the 20Mb which was great, but really wasn't using it as much as I used to, so downgraded to the 2Mb which is more than ample for my needs. I would be asking him why he wants this, as it could be that he's downloading a lot of illegal stuff. However, if you feel that he will use it, I would recommend virgin, when it works it works good, on the occasion that it does go wrong, you sometimes get through to call centres in India, which i hate, as they don't understand my accent. You could also try calling VM and see what kind of deals are available for the package you require.4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j0

Thankyou Mazza 111. Their 20 Mb is half the price! It will be much faster than the 8Mb we have now and my son has agreed that will be quite fast enough. He was just following his mates at work I think, but 50 Mb is really OTT. You just saved us both a fortune!:j0
