i bought my tft from them 3 days ago and its been fine. delivery was as said and no delays the tft has been fine also. shame ebuyer didnt lower the price for it earlier. its a AG neovo btw and it much better than other makes.

i must say there are tft's that are much cheaper but the quality isnt as good, i say buy LG or AG neovo both are excellent or if you can affford to pay the extra sony and other top names are also very good.
  • looks a bit cheesy in the picture.

Whats the style of it like in the flesh?

My tastes are changing I used to only care about how things performed couldn't care how they looked.

    anyone got another picture.
  • it's actually not that bad in the flesh!

the big on button is a bit cheezy, but not that bad

I'm very impressed with mine (from aria) as well, TBH that picture doesnt do it much justice. The stand isnt as clunky as it looks - and you can hide it pretty well by lowering the screen onto it.

The plastics arent the best quality but you get what you pay for and I have often noticed worse plastics on premium brand products anyway.

It is also worth noting that IIRC most screens are made in just a small number of factories so by buying a premium brand you are really only paying for the name and packaging/casing.

    Highly recommended!!! ;D ;D

P.S. Whilst researching this monitor I found a post on a forum where somebody suggested this screen was actually a IIyama 17" Prolite E430 - dunno how true this is though.
  • Just dismantled my LCD screen,

two screws on the bottom, three clips each side, and another three along the top (i broke all three)

the panel imodel number is M170EG01

    specs available at

    http://www.auo.com/auoDEV/products.php?func=info&product_id=67&items_id=9

its EXACTLY THE SAME PANEL as used in the ViewSonic VP171b, currently at around £280 RRP

chips on the driver PCB are

    NOVATEK
    NT68F63L
    0439-G0
    MJM8S

    NT68521EF
    0432-DA
    HGRM500-1

nothing special there really, can't find whats used elsewhere

    BUY THIS MONITOR!!

  • I think the monitor is pretty good apart from the fact I was unfortunate to get one with a fault as can happen with anything. The problem is I bought mine from Microdirect who I now wish I had never gone near. After over 2 weeks they have failed to even reply to my emails, faxes and letters informing them that it is faulty. If you are going to order one of these steer well well clear of Microdirect as I can not stress more highly how down right hopeless they have been.

Of all the on-line shops I have dealt with, many have been slow or have peculiar hoops for you to jump through but at least eventually something is sorted out in the event of a problem. But never have I come across a group of cowboys like this bunch who don't even have the common decency to acknowledge that they have received a request. I have now reported them to trading standards for breach of the Sale of Goods Act.

Just as well Aria have them, hopefully they will at least respond if you have a problem.

    Good info Bleugh :)

It seems that this must be a M170EG01 v2

The v1 is a 12ms screen and the new v2 has a 8ms :o response time. Be nice if you found one of those in there! Though according to this site, there's no noticible difference. (see bottom of page)
  • Think I might order one of these tonight....
