Some automatics don't let you take the key out unless it's in neutral Tote's. :think:

To my huge embarrassment on way to work one day, couldn;t get key out of the ignition. Called the guys to come and help me - and then I realised I had left it in drive.............

I've never ever done that before. Must've had a blonde moment.. :o:o

I've not had this problem arise at work with the Rav 4 - so can't be of any help at all to the OP.

Ugh, it's still stuck. I've tried it in neutral, wiggling and jiggling, WD40 and swearing while beating it with a stick. All I can think to do now is to take the battery out so hopefully I'll have a car in the morning.

We've got one Pap but it's crammed full of drums and sound gear (and other random clutter). Everyone around here is the same, that's what comes of having a house with a flat roof and no loft. Hubby is just removing the battery now.
