what does calling 070.. cost

I need to get in touch with a company but ther number is prefixed 070... and I'm a bit concerned at what this may cost as I have not seen this prefix before.Anyone advise please? next two digits are 29,don't know if that makes a difference

Yes, numbers starting with the 070 prefix are called "Personal Numbering". Basically it's a number that doesn't exist on a specific phone. The holder of the number can choose to divert the calls to the 070 number so that it rings a phone with another number. Sometimes it's called 'find me anywhere' numbering. Calls to these numbers cost more than calls to mobiles do. In the case of your number, it may cost more. Below are the BT charges for calls to 07029 numbers in pence per minute during the Peak, Evening and Weekend periods respectively.
