Fly to Naples and get the train down to Sorrento which is only just over an hour away.

As an Italian, I find it rather amusing that Italy tends to be regarded as a Rome/Naples/Venice/Florence proposition any combination of the above. There is so much more of it that I could not begin to describe it. :)

Love all things Italian including the People. Been to Rome of course, Campania, Pompeii, Lake Garda, Castiglione de Lago, Lake Trasimino, Perugia, Assisi,Venice, Verona and Livigno. What a beautiful country. Hope to go to Lake Como and San Remo in the near future and would love to return to the aforementioned places. Would also love to learn the language.

    Buona Notte.

My family live not far from there, on the way to Genoa. When I go home I fly either to Genoa or Nice as our town is about half way. However we hark from Piedmont, closer to Turin, where great wine is produced.
