I have a blue badge for my illness, I need to get a key because I have serve IBS and that is really embarrasing when you can't get to the toilet.
I do have a qustion, If you need to use your bluebadge to park on the day, could you just take a Copy of you DLA acceptence letter with you and show the people.
Can you still get a key that way.
    Thanks
we took our dla acceptance letter, as we have no blue badge

Thanx a lot, I also have severe IBS, as well as a walking disability, I will find this a great help as I am unable to walk or stand for long periods of time.

I'm in exactly the same position and my Radar key has been a life saver believe me! I bought mine via the radar website.

Mine arrived whilst I was in hospital and my husband couldn't believe the size of it! I think he is expecting the door it fits to be about 12ft high!
:rotfl:atleast it would be easily found in my handbag.
All I can do is be me, whoever that is

i noticed that one of the disabled loo's in skegness had a changing bench and hoist, and thought that was a fab idea, and more should have them.
as for the person saying able bodied users are using the disabled loo's, there is more than one type of disability.
for instance i have a son who has sever adhd, learning difficulties, and autisic traits, he's 14 now, and too big to come into the ladies with me, but too scared to go to the gents alone, when his brother is not with us.

Yes, mine isn't always that obvious! But have you never encountered the queue of able-bodied people using a loo that has been accidentally unlocked. On one occasion I had to queue for 15 minutes because some twit hadn't closed it properly and it had become 'just another loo'. It wasn't until a member of staff came along and pointed out to the people blocking it that there were disabled people waiting that I was allowed to 'queue jump'...

I have a key too, a absolute must some times. I don't think you need to police it. How many of your able bodied friends know about the scheme. I think you will find it's just a minority.
I used to be me !! what happened
