Another vote for Ivobank! It's not a full-service bank but one specifically designed for moving money around. Once your cash is there it's easy and quick to make payments in the eurozone. I often want to transfer realtively small amounts to my personal euro account in Ireland and the transfers are same day and "free".

Free as in there are no charges for standard transfers, which for Ireland turn out to get there the same day. There's an exchange rate loading of 1.7 percent on the wholesale rate Ivobank themselves get. So, not as cheap as withdrawing euro notes from an Irish ATM using a Nationwide debit card, but pretty good for small amounts.

I used to use Currencies Direct but found that while their rates were not bad and they advertise free transfers, I always got stung with a 6 euro charge at the Irish end of the transfer.

As long as the UK stays out of the euro and British banks charge exorbitant fees for SEPA transfers there will be room for a player like Ivobank.
