Ulster Bank ID requirements

Absolutely furious to discover that I cannot open an account with Ulster bank as they cannot prove my ID using their criteria. I do not work therefore have no payslip, do not yet claim a pension and nor do I claim benefits. Unlike other institutions, passport and driving license do not do it for them. Cant believe people are turning down money in todays climate.

You could use passport for the first list and driving licence for the second - done. Or you could use an HMRC tax coding notice (you can phone your tax office and they'll send one even if you don't work).0 -

"Todays climate" doesnt allow them to accept money without complying with the money laundering regulations.
You have probably failed the electronic money laundering check and need to fall back to the manual method as shown above.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
