o2 deal - without even having to haggle.
I was on 02s "0nline talker 35 " deal with long weekends. 800 cross network minutes mon-fri + 200 texts+ long weekends (2000 cross network minutes sat-mon) for £35 per month. Essentially 2800 minutes per month for £35. My 18 month contract expired in November last year, but being lazy I did not renew , and continued paying £35pm for the same deal. Last week, I rang 02 and without any haggling, was offered the same contract (2800 minutes and 200 texts) for £21 per month on an 18 month contract, and they also credited me with a £150 loyalty bonus, so I will pay nothing for at least 4 months. I asked if I could have that deal for longer and they said yes, but would write to me with details. Yesterday I received a letter from o2, confirming that I can extend that contract for another 18 months when this one expires. I am also guaranteed the 2000 free long weekend minutes for as long as I remain an o2 customer.
