Evening ladies, not been posting because i've not done any flying:o Had a weird virally thing and have been totally wiped out.
Just been catching up with the thread - hope everyone is ok. Just going to put the dishes away then going for a bath as i'm stinky:p
ETA just read about toots, healing thoughts heading your way.The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -

I do turn mine down a bit but only because I find the AGA itself gets too hot in summer and burns things but I turn it down so that the thermometer line is still where it should be. How long have you had yours? Do you always turn it down? Why have you done so?
.
We normally turn it down for the summer to save oil, we just whip out the transformer and it slows down. I think I need to put the transformer back in and turn the dial down.
We still use the warmplates! Have had it for two years, wanted one since forever, and it hasnt disappointed me!
ETA Am praying for Toots and her quick, safe return home.
Jo nice to see youPlease do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -

Evening everyone, hope you've all had a good day - will have a read back through the thread but in the meantime love, hugs and *neccessary vibes* to all those in need.
Have had a bit of a falling out with the neighbours today - they recycle nothing so always have an overflowing bin whereas we usually only have 1 bag a week leaving plenty of space so last thing at night on a Wednesday my dad agreed that they could fill our bin up so that it is all taken on a Thursday. Except i went to put some rubbish out at lunch time and our bin was overflowing with their stuff so i had nowhere to put it - so i took their bags out of our bin and put them into their garden next to their already overflowing bin and was greeted with a tirade of abuse! They're all hanging around in the front garden now this evening being really loud and really obnoxious - my brother is coming over later as he heard them shouting and swearing when he phoned earlier, bless big bros! However on the plus side i've done lots of binbag dances and managed to fill the bin up with stuff from our house being the adult that i am!
ETA: Thank you for the update on Toots will light a candle and send over *get well soon* vibes this evening!0 -

ssl - glad you liked the pegs! They are just for decorative purposes really, as they are only about 2 inches tall. I don't usually fritter too much on 'stuff', but I love that shop, and couldn't resist these. They had lots of different designs, including a bigger pack of normal size pegs all hand painted, each one a different design. I may get them next time.
I don't even own a washing line.
valli - des pinces à linge - I had to look it up! Your French better than quite a few GCSE' groups...:D
AnW's mum - thank you for letting us know about Toots. I remembered she was going out, and wondered why we hadn't heard.
I haven't done any more since I last posted...except for a meal and washing up.It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -
I'll join you rose - a bit late though.
just caught up but will write a proper post later, flying calls!!!Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -
sounds like we need to get toots a minder... hopefully she'll now understand that her antics yesterday don't count as resting!
Can ALL of you on light duties please remember that this means delegating... not deciding to move furniture!
DW loaded and set off... otherwise not much flying - gym, leg wax, then met my parents for lunch before going to the funeral of a family friend (a fantastic service that really gave you a sense of who he was, lovely readings, addresses and hymns).
Now trying to find some food and get myself organised for tomorrow...0 -
Hi everyone.
Healing vibes sent for Toots I do hope she's feeling better very soon. Thanks for the updates everyone.
WTG Sunnygirl's DH :T :T :T :T That's great news!
SSL I got a job ages ago (:D) working as a sexual health advisor for young people. :j However, I couldn't start until the CRB check came through. It's taken months! Anyway, it's here now. So I'll be able to start very soon. It's very exciting!
G&B Take it very easy lady. That wipe-you out virusy thingy, is a doozy! It knoked me sideways for weeks. No energy whatsoever. I could hardly lift my arms to type!!!!Seriously tho, take it steady.

I know I've been a huge beneficiary of Flylady vibes before, and I really need your help again guys.....
My gorgeous friend (she's a flylady, but lapsed when her husband left her ) is going through the most acrimonious divorce you can imagine. Her husband... one of the most arrogant men I have ever met, is putting her through the wringer. She has only ever asked for him to be fair, and to be courteous for the sake of the children. But no. He has left her and children with sweet FA, (literally) while he swans around partying, sleeping around, buying a new stuff including a flash car, and generally having a damned good time.:mad::mad::mad: Really rubbing her nose in it. I don't want to give too many details obviously, just in case something's recognised. Suffice it to say, you'd cry with rage for her, and want to do damage to him.
She's frightened that the judge at their hearing tomorrow will be taken in by his BS. He certainly is a smooth talker, and can seem so credible.
Please, please can she have your best Flylady vibes for an understanding compassionate judge who see him for the !!!!!! he is.
I said I'd ask you all, and that if she suddenly felt herself surrounded in a blanket of support she'd know it was us! She can't have any friends in with her, just her solicitor. He's going with his barrister. So I said we'd all be in court with her, behind her, shaking fists and raring to get him.
I wish I could do more, but flylady vibes for her would be fantastic.
Thanks guys.
