Motorola V220 on 02 Problems

Hi, this happened with my sons V220 after he dropped it. Black screen showing but as you said calls and texts were okay, camera was too but you couldnt see the photos until you put them on the PC. I spent hours looking for a solution, tried reflashing (????) it, no luck, in the end in pure frustration I banged the damn thing hard and hey presto it worked and has done ever since. :j0

Oh gosh, knowing our luck the whole thing would break, what did you bang it on?!! Just went to 02 shop and they said it could take up to a month to repair, at a big cost!0

Hi, I banged it (back side down) on a desk, it wasn't actually a mega hard bang, think there may have been something loose inside, who knows!!! I figured I had nothing to lose. Hope you have some luck with yours.0

If you bought it less than a year ago and it's on O2, provided it has not been dropped or damged by mis-use it should be covered by the warranty.
Return to the O2 store as for the month long wait, tell them to take a long run and jump off a short pier, try 7-10 days (anything longer is unacceptable). Tell them you will give it 10 days before you start making complaints for their lax attitude.
Alternitavley return it direct to Motorola who normally return within 10-14 days, but beware of you have damaged it and you are not planning on telling them they will know.
Good luck

Thanks Miss G. The phone has not been dropped or anything the screen just stopped working. I will take it back to the shop myself as I have the receipt and as you say it is still under warranty. I will let you know what they say.0
