i had exactly the same with a buyer over a expensive jigsaw , they stated it was ruined box and jigsaw all damaged. I asked them to send back as jigsaw was in asealed polly bag thingy and i would do full refund . Buyer refused (well nearly) just kept stating they were out of pocket , unusable jigsaw and said they would send item back once refunded, still waiting on them to send it , and did not do refund as they never sent it back, still wonder if it had been damaged or they were just trying it on
seems like she is trying to get china for free0 -
You could always give her a partial refund? Seems a bit sus to me personally, who's to say that she hasn't damaged it herself?Accept that some days you're the pigeon and some days you're the statue.0

Well I received a cheque today from RM which covers what she paid for the item excluding postage. So, I'm happy to refund her on the grounds that I haven't lost out and the item intentionally broke or accidentaly broken is of no use to me now.
As a matter of fact, the buyer has sent me a couple of photos of the broken ornament, so at least I've seen what I have to trust to be proof.0
