Firmware for the N70 on the 3 network...

I have heard a few people mention that they have had their phone 'flashed' with the latest firmware.

my version says v 2.0539.1.2

Can someone please explain to a dunce liek me what this means and how i can get it done? I bought my phone on ebay so have no shop/retaielr i can refer back to.

If your phone is still under warranty you can get the firmware updated for free through nokia service centres (cpw) outside the warranty its normally around £15.

just done my 6680 thru the Carphone Warehouse (Nokia Auto Repair Centre) in Manchester and it is appalling.

They have to send it away and you are several days without a phone.

CPW even lost my phone in the store. The computer said it was back but it took them a few days to find it.

Dont know about n70 but the 6680 was bugged to death and the upgrade has done wonders.

NB, to get your software version simply dial *#0000#
6680 latest version is 3.04.37, 01-06-05
