    Hi Guys,

Just a quick question. Have 2 accounts with SDG grp and 2 with JD Williams grp and quite a few credit cards and bank accounts. Anyway to cut it short few days back requested for an catalogue from freemans and on the site it said that the order was being processed. Anyway called them up and they said I wont get credit checked for the catalogue, and they'l only credit check me to give me a credit account at point of my first item order.

Anyway just recieved a catalogue from freemans where it said my estimated credit limit £600 subject to final checks. I am planning on placing a order now, so was wondering can i still get refused by freemans for an account or do I pretty much have it in my kitty? I have a default on my file from abt a year ago but rest of my file is like clean, and also have got all these catalogue accounts and a credit card just a couple or so months back (after the default was registered).

Am Kind of confused. So any help will be appreciated !!

Freemans can be hit and miss so hard too say as to whether you WILL get the account. I placed an order online last year and got rejected though wasn't on electoral roll and had little positive history so possibly didn't help.
They check Experian on receipt of order so all you can do is try.
A couple of members on here have successfully appealed a rejection by Freemans/Grattan so even if they do say no ring them up and you may get it overturned.
Good luck...come back and let everybody know :T

Thanks Brian, will do that. However am thinking how can they give you an estimated limit without evevn contacting a CRA !!
Also have had too many searches in the past 3 months or so, which have bought my score right down !! So as it is not a sure shot thing , so thinking about giving it a miss
