i live round the corner from an ikea (almost literally!) so am now a seasoned ikea shopper - i just head straight to the area i need without looking at anything else. a list is probably a good idea, just have what you need to buy on it and be strict about sticking to it - definitely a shop where they have loads of stuff that you didn't know you "needed" until you see it!
Mortgage free as of 11/11/15 !
:Anow... to start some serious saving :A

Well after my happy post a few days ago the money has arrived in my account - 6 days including the weekend so that is pretty good.
This means that I am out of overdraft :j which is really good as I don't get paid until the end of the week so I won't be starting the next 3 month period with an overdraft to pay off which I did last time mainly because I had to pay the tax I have just reclaimed back :rolleyes:
I am still unsure whether I am getting 3 months pay or 6 months - mixed messages from the Managing Director I am just going to wait and see. The practical difference that would make is that I would make the debt repayment now that I was planning to make at the end of Jan when the next pay would be due if I dont get it now - which would be nice but won't make a big difference long term except I would have less Balance Transfer fee to pay. Oh well I will find out when I get my cheque on Friday. Then I need to do some financial juggling for the next 3 or 6 months debt repayment plan.
Have a great day.

Hurray for money arriving - thats very good news, tho I really don't like that level of mixed message, I'd be very wary of incompetency.
Wish I was out on the Liffey walking in the sunshine - I thought it was going to go sunny here, and it decided not to, boo hiss.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Great newson the tax rebate...yuck to having to juggle everything.
Not heard or received anything back yet myself from tax rebate...wish they would hurry up.0 -
OK I have been paid :j
And it is 6 months pay (which is possibly a good thing because I can pay some debt off earlier but OMG the next payday will be end April :eek: I will have to be so careful in the budgeting dept pity we have to live for the next 6 months it would make a lovely dent in the debt
)
So now I can make plans but can't actually bring them into fruition for a few days because I get paid by cheque :rolleyes:
BTW Karma it wasn't incompetency on the MDs part I had suggested having 3 months pay now and 3 months at the end of Jan to soften the blow of not agreeing to a even bigger paycut and to allow for Christmas takings but because of the year end that was not possible.
Off to find an envelope to scribble on :rotfl:
I have won £2.50 on King today and £1.66 yesterday it all helps. Nothing on Britain so still level on that but I do know how the CGs work now if anyone wants the info let me know I have won £6 bonus money but still not been able to win with it:rolleyes:
