Yes I recall that it was not very long ago that you came back.So thought it would jog your memory.
It's bugging me that they are lost.
Do I recall you decluttering the hallway table?...
Do I recall you decluttering the living room?

Did you find a new place for any other paperwork that would have been in the same drawer..new filing system etc..perhaps they are amongst that paperwork....

I don't for one minute think that you've thrown them out as they feel different to any other paperwork.

Detective Taxi will solve this case..lol

Sherlock Taxi I have decluttered the drawer that they should be in but they would have gone back in Mom's is still there where it should be. OD took hers with her when she left and OS took his when he went to Uni. Other than that we have not used OH and the little ones since we got back. I used mine for my recent CRB check but I have never kept mine in the drawer. I didnt move paperwork from that drawer just cut up loads of store cards etc and sorted my vouchers out otherwise there are only keys in there

But you have got me lateral thinking OH collected some cash from the bank and I have just asked him what id he used I can't believe that he wouldn't have used his passport but he thinks he used his driving licence but knowing him he is a bet and braces type of guy as far as id is concerned but that would not explain the missing kids passorts. He has searched all his clothes and briefcase so that is a dead end at the moment -could be a red herring :rotfl:

    The case continues

Keep going - passports are pretty expensive to replace, aren't they? Or is a one off free? Still .... even if a replacement was free, it'd be good to know whether you've lost them or not. What about the car? Could they have slipped out in the car and slipped down underneath a seat, that kind of thing?

Have you looked where DH keeps all his banking stuff?

Sounds like they may not have gone in the drawer in the 1st place when you returned as
    (1) your mums is still there
    (2) you sorted the drawer and only shredded old CCs sorted vouchers etc.
(3)If DH used his for bank then the childrens would still be there

You say your DH is a vicar ....did he go to the church after going to the bank(incase he did use passport not driving license).
..maybe left it in the office there./
Did he come home from the bank and go into an office in the house?
What were his movements on the day he went to bank?
Is his driving license in it's usual place and if so is his passport with it?
Doesn't explain the kids ones though but may eliminate some theories.
  • OH is not allowed any banking stuff that is strictly my department :rotfl:

Car has been checked. Office has been gone through by both of us to within an inch of its life we have even moved all the furniture but no joy. OH has his driving licence. I don't think they made it to the drawer either but can'y reason why. Replacement passports are the same price as new ones I think so not a cheap item that is why for now we will only do OH as the others are not needed yet - this is so unlike us I have the old ones for all of us I just can't understand what has gone wrong.

Perhaps Sherlock Taxi and Inspector Karma had better come and investigate preferably with sniffer dogs :D

I am looked out just haven't got a clue.

Are they in the bags you used last when abroad? Perhaps in a forgotten about pocket?

*So* puzzling. I should have said before about my stuff - I used my camera last in the house, to take a pic of something I was going to throw out. And now I can't find it. Anywhere. I've emptied out chests of drawers all over the house, moved things all over. I really know the feeling!
