Yes dottyanne that is correct it was so we could buy a bigger house so that there would be room for her to live with us so it was for her benefit too but it is to be repaid although she would be happy for it to be repaid when she dies and then I would only have to repay 15K as 5K would be mine anyway as one of her four children. However she is 93 now so I have to face reality that it is likely that I would have to find that 15K in the near future (although I have told her that she has to reach 114 by which time my OH would be entitled to a free TV licence:D) as currently because she is a member of the household we don't have to pay for one:money:. However I would be happier if it was sitting in her bank account so I am currently planning on starting matched betting when I get back from my hols and intend to pay any profit towards paying back that loan.

I'm in a similar boat, my dads helped us out a lot over recent years, and whilst he seems in no major rush to get the money back - i hate owing it to him. I was paying back at £100 per month but just dont have the money to pay anything at the moment (which i hate)!Focusing on clearing the credit cards in 2018 :T0
