Lovely sunny day here
Can win for toffee on BB even with extra bonuses
Did win £5 on KJ so thats Ok
Trying to do a BT today to OHs MBNA card I have two empty Halifax cards so rang them but only offering 6.95% LOB which I don't want - so I asked them to close the cards but the system is down for 90 mins the nice man did say that they might offer me a 0% so I will have to wait and see if not they will be closed and I will try some other empty cards we have got and if that doesn't work will have to try and get some new cards. I really hate BT time and this one is a large balance despite having paid a chunk off it this weekend- I will be really glad when these CCs are gone still £39K something is better than £89K something I do sometimes wonder what planet we were living on at the time:o

Good for you! There's lots of good news in there - but its *so* tough trying to sort out people like Sky, isn't it? Virgin have sent me a customer satisfaction form! I shall take great delight in telling them what I think of their customer service.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

OK part 1 of the BT attempt has not gone well rang back the Halifax only offering 0% for 6 months 3% fee she was trying everything to get me to keep the cards open except offering me a better 0% deal  so I have closed them  at least that will be £24K less credit available showing on my credit report in due course. She did say I could apply for a new card with them in 90 days but in the meantime I still have to find a new offer:rolleyes: this could get tricky
Options
1. I have 2 empty cards left to try, 3 if I pay off my regular use card and use a different one
2. Try for new cards but because of high BT needed will probably need more than one card
3. Very risky option pay off MBNA card and then hope they give me an offer before I need to use the money - don't think I will be doing this one asking for trouble and I have enough off that without asking for more:rolleyes:
Now I know why I want rid of these cards

I have cut up my two Halifax cards feels quite strange like giving up your security blanket.
Had them since 2001.
Right now I have to coach OH what to say to Tesco -he usually gives our whole life story over the phone and I am frantically waving at him trying to make him stop this is why I prefer transferring to my cards

lol i often sit by when OH is trying to do financial things and want to take over but i'm trying to give him new skills so will keep trying.
learnt this weekend why things haven't always been straight forward for him. Was saying to his mother about saving for car insurance and she was going on about there being no point saving as you could die tomorrow. makes me wonder how they did pay for annual stuff if they didn't save for it each month. guess it was either from that months wages or via a provi loan. didn't want to point out that as we save monthly for christmas we are ok at this time of year, yet her daughter is talking about getting another provi loan to cover christmas. I do wonder how she expects us to get a bigger house which she keeps announcing that we must buy unless we save for such things.
sorry for the side track.0 -
gl gl gl with this, very tough to do. You're doing *so* well tho, and I'm full of admiration for the way you're working the bingo.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

I am not sure I am doing so well Tesco's offer was worse than Halifax:eek: and HSBC would not make an offer at all  - I am down to my last card on option 1 and I can't ring them until the payment has gone through which I made on Saturday supposed to be a faster payment too but is not showing up on my online account yet - I don't enjoy this at all.
And I keep missing the free games because of the phone ringing - don't people know I need to make some money here :rotfl:

Well done for tackling SKY, they can be a nuisance. I had to get on the phone on behalf of an elderly neighbour. They had persuaded her to have a modem( she doesn't use the internet) had charged for channels she previously had thought she cancelled..i felt so sorry for her as she was going away for a few months and really should have cancelled the service. The chap told her she wouldn't be able to get it back, i was mortified when i found her crying..i got on that phone and rail roaded them..result- refund and cancellation. Their customer service stinks at times, i was glad i spoke to someone sensible.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:0
