:hello:Good afternoon!
Penny - the sausages look fantastic, really professional! I bet they taste as good as they look. :T
meanmarie - Hope your DGS enjoyed himself yesterday! We don't usually have more than about 20-25 children making their 1st Communion in our parish, so it's usually at the Sunday 10.30 Mass - if there is an unusually high number it's done over 2 Sundays
I'm another one who tries to avoid ironing! DH does his own, and DS wears t-shirts to work so they're okay without ironing. I can physically only iron a couple of things anyway, so I try to buy clothes that don't need it. Goodness knows what possessed me to buy linen trousers
Lovely day here today and no signs of a barbecue next door (I think they've gone out for the day), so washing is on the line and DH is mowing the grass - it's too lumpy and bumpy to be called a lawn:D
All for now, as keep spelling everything wrong today:p

those susages look great...
i have just finished cleaning the oven, and am on the third load of washing...
am ahving a good day as i have sorted out all of the cleaning products under my sink and have realised that i won't have to buy any for a while... which will be nice. i even found 2 bottles of stardrops, so that alone would sort me for months!!!!
i'm looking forward to the hoovering that i will have to finish in a moment, as i have put down shake n' vac... the room is smelling really nice.
i need to change the sheets on my bed upsatirs but want to try to get some of the other washing dry before i produce more to go throught the washer...
good afternoon to all

Afternoon everyone
I've had a productive afternoon, Curry Queen's base sauce is made :j 4 portions in the freezer, one out ready to make Murgh makhani in a little while.... chicken has been marinading in the yoghurt/spice mix all afternoon, and my naan bread dough is restingI really hope it all turns out well... as it has been quite time consuming making the base sauce, but if it does work out, then I'll be well on my way to 4 more curries :T
DD is in the garden playing swingball, DH is watching the footie, and I'm having a little rest before dinner
Looking forward to BGT tonight, with a glass of beer
Need to run round with the hoover, but that can wait till just before we all relax in fron on the tv.
Have a good evening everyoneSquares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)0 -
Good evening, I thought I would come on here and introduce myself, as although I've only joined today I have been following this thread for well over a year! Don't know why I've never joined before (actually I do, I already spend far too much time over on the paid to shop site, and was worried I'd get addicted to posting on this site as well!).
Anyway, this is one of my favourite boards, and I read it every day, so feel like I know some of you very well even though you don't know me!
I have a long long way to go to be OS, but have learnt some fantastic tips on here.
I am a single mum to DS11 and DD10. I am in the same profession as N9eave, so that keeps me busy! I have 2 cats, and have just signed up to foster care for the RSPCA, and have my first foster cat here as well (who is beautiful).
Anyway, I've probably rambled on enough, and realise there is absolutely no OS content at all, so will stop there! I doubt I'll post every day as I certainly don't have much OS to post, but I will be here reading all the regular posters!0 -
Sistercas
Thanks its good to be back.
And yes i will post some of the stuff up thats in the book.
N9eva Yes i do think that haveing loads and not leaving any for anyone else is being gready.
But if you look on the other hand at the moment with evrything thats going on the person might only be able to aford the marked down stuff the stuff that thay brourt may have to last them for a few weeks. There are a lot of folks in that sort of bother at the moment.
Many on here
How ever if thay do have enough money but are just doing it to save a few pennys then thay should be ashamed of themselfs and the staore should set a limmit by the store. to make sure that evryone gets there fair share and the less well off get some too.
Rant over:A:A:A:A:A:A:A:jYou can have everything you wont in lfe, If you only help enough other people to get what they wont.:j0 -

Evening all! Just got back from a weekend away with delightful year 10. I think I'm probably more exhausted than they are. Fortunately my lovely plants survived the weekend without me &I didn't spend a penny either
going out tomorrow to change all that though.
Penny: thanks for the picture of the sausages, feeling all inspired now.
