Morning all. Hope everyone is well. Penny those sausages look great. I haven't had a decent sausage for ages And got to say betheebee the amount of stuff you have made with those ducks and the chicken sounds amazing. You have inspired me to try more than chicken pie with our left overs in future.
I am Chook sitting for my neighbour this week and have just been to collect their daily offering, clever girls. So am going to have a poached egg on toast for a late breakfast.
Cut some hedges yesterday, but did not do it OS, had to get out the electric hedge trimmer. Must say I ache a bit today.
Have a great day, hope everyone manages to make the most of the great weather.

Morning all the weather is lovely here too so I'll be in the garden weeding, tidying & sitting down for a bit hopefully ;)

Pen Pen Those sausages look fab & how great to know exactly what is in them :T

Salad & new potatoes for lunch today & pate & toast for tea later. I've also got a cheesecake that DD made yesterday so we'll probably have a slice after both meals :o:D I would have had a bbq myself but DH is working until 8pm and we've not used the new bbq yet & I don't fancy setting it up on my own. I can't lug the gas bottles round tbh.

Have a good Sunday everyone & enjoy the weather while you can.

Morning Chums ,still got this rotten cold hanging about ,getting fed-up with it now .My DD keeps on at me to go to the DR.s but its just a nasty head cold and he has more important things to sort out than that. I shall keep on with the paracetamol for a bit longer.
lazy day at the moment not done a lot, and just thinking I may turn out some drawers from the cabinet this morning. They seem to be stuffed full of junk and need a good de-tutting. off to youngest DD's this afternoon for dinner and to see my DGC.Weather is looking o.k. at the moment so I mustn't forget to water my pots of flowers, although the forecast is rain tomorrow. Hope everyone has a great week-end and gets to relax.
    Take care all

Hi all. Well I have had quite a productive day so. Walked the dogs first thing with my friend and her dog round the fields. Youngest dog (who I let off the lead as long as no sheep etc about) was well behaved so that was good!!

Came back and had crumpets for brek, made poached eggs on toast for OH, they looked gorge but I am not meant to have runny eggs unless they are red stamped, as Im not sure if I said before on here but I am pregnant, and dont wanna risk it. These eggs I buy from a lady at work who has chickens so thought Id better not.

Then went out to the garage and had a tidy up. Up until this week we have been renting it out to OH brother to store his work gear in. He emptied it out this week so I just sorted out the small amount of stuff we had left in there. I think the extra space will come in handy when baby arrives as no doubt we will end up with lots of kiddy stuff that will need putting somewhere!!

Just sitting down watching the F1 now for a bit but must go and wash my hair and get ready soon as I am off to a bbq this afternoon, yummy!!

Hope everyone is having a lovely Sunday :-)

Afternoon everyone! Having a lazy day here as the Hebridean weather is awful today - it's raining, blowing a hooley and it's cold enough to have had the heating on this morning :( I hope the sun is shining on everyone else?

Not up to much today, did a washing overnight, but it's not worth hanging it out! About to do some more studying. Had soup and sarnies for lunch and will have salad and something for tea!

Penny - your sausages look great, very professional.

N9eav - I agree - very greedy of the person in the supermarket to clear the lot of RTC chicken

wmf - enjoy your Scottish break!

redruby - enjoy your indian meal tonight

JackieO - hope you're getting rid of the cold? It's not nice having one any time, but it seems worse at this time of year.

Fattybooboo - contgratulations on becoming pregnant. Probaly best avoid the unstamped eggs from the lady at work, as her flock might not be salmonella free. Watch yourself at the BBQ too

If you're off tomorrow, enjoy your long weekend! We don't get this Bank Holiday, so I'll be working..... :(

    Afternoon all

What a lovely day here in Kent, can't believe it's gonna rain and be miserable tomorrow.

Done some ironing first thing, 2nd lot of washing just hung out, and hoping next door don't have a BBQ as I can hear that they have company. Don't want my towels smelling of smoke.

Peaceful here, DH has gone out with DS to have a look at a car with him. UPDATE he has just rung and he is the proud owner of a new car!!! Watching my old team from London, Millwall on the tele to see if they can get promotion to the Championship.

Had a bbq yesterday and have some sausages, burgers and chicken left over so will cook that tonight with some jersey pots and salad. Run out of bbq coals so will have to have an indoor bbq tonight ;)

Have a good day all xxxx

Hi all, hope you are well :) It's exam time up here, so it's all go again :)

Beth - that's great, well done on doing so much with your bargians :)
JackieO- hope you feel better soon

Feeling not quite so bright over the past few weeks, but a little better today - I have just been shopping to try and cheer myself up, bought a lovely new dress in Bravissimo (it actually fits!) and some little red shoes to match (I only have size 2 feet, so finding nice adult looking shoes is a rarity for me). :) I also bought some silver earrings from Etsy in the shape of DNA bases :D I am thinking of listing some stuff on folksy myself, but don't have the time at the moment.

Bike goes in for a service next week. I do not want the bill for that one, bu it has to be done as it has been sitting on the drive for months (OH has my keys when I don't feel well).

Going to a friends house for dinner tonight - we have the choice of going to play board games or going to see an outdoor play. Problem is is that I don't think the language level of the other two guests is high enough to understand the play, so I think don't think they will enjoy it.

I made lemon drizzle cake yesterday and it was a bit dry - it seems to be softening a little bit in the cake tin though, so that is okay I think. I made a tub of burrito veg and soaked some beans so I can take burritos for lunch tomorrow.
Good Lord Penny, what a fright you gave me. I thought for a minute that N9Eav had started the thread with another gratuitous tackle shot. _pale_. :p;) Seriously, they look amazing. :T

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:I have coffee on my monitor now :) They are fantastic looking sausages though - am very impressed:)

Hope you all have a good day and hugs to those that would like one :) cel x

    Afternooon all,

Nice day here, windy but sunny. Had an early barbecue for brunch and all visitors have now gone home....except for DD2 and DGDs 1 & 3....DGD2 was not happy to leave as she loves playing with her cousins. Seemed to spend the whole morning cooking so am now fit for a snooze...not sure I will manage it though.

Knitting is the only occupation planned for the rest of the day, anybody who is hungry can help themselves as there is lots of food around, may even manage an early night.

DD4 delighted to be finished exams, just one more week of teaching and then she is off for the summer....only technically as she is looking for a teaching job so will be busy....not many going and unlikely to be any permanent jobs at all.

Have a good bank holiday all,

    Marie
