mobile charges!! help

i phoned my husband who was in hospital in canada from my mobile to his as did his family, i have not been charged but his bill is over £400. does anyone no if these charges can be dropped or cut in anyway. any advise is greatful!!! thanks

    Ouch! He was roaming and unfortunately used his phone. You can talk to your provider and explain to them politely, and hopefully they will understand. But in most cases, then will tell you you should have read the terms and conditions and known how much roaming in Canada would have cost.
