Delta Flight prices do they keep going up?

Options
Went on yesterday to look at flights to New York from Edinburgh. The flights were £333 yesterday. Wnet on today and they are up to £370. Should Ibook now? Will the flight prices keep going up or might they come back down again?

There is every possibility they will come back down. Flights often are more expensive at different times of the week.
However there is a real possibility it won't come back down. And long term the closer you get to your date of travel the higher the price usually gets.

If it were me and your dates were at least 3 months away i would wait until Tuesday and look at the price then. If it is still inflated then it will most likely 99% not come back down.

The other thing to be awre of is that some software "knows" you've looked before and increases the price gthe next time you look!

Either clear the cookies for that site or use a different PC

You've given no indication as to how far in the future your ticket is to help us judge.

How on earth does an airlines reservation system single you out and quotes you a higher price than someone else looking at the same time. That sounds a bit far fetched to me. I know cookies can do lots of things but.........
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

Well....... Can depend how you access the site. Not so much with DL but with AA I've often got better prices going in through aa.com rather than americanairlines.co.uk. My latest fare with Delta I'm more than happy with -was cheaper at Delta.com than any of the consolidators. £320 in August to Vegas is a good price in my book.

delta fares can vary from day to day... depends what "bucket" tickets they have, and if they want to release some more, they might do.. bear in mind that today is a holiday in the USA as well, and if they've sold the allocation of 5 of the cheap tickets, and they want to add more on, that'll happen tomorrow, but also it'll happen EST more than british time...

    complex eh?!
