I do a fortnightly 'big' shop with Tesco on line then call in once a week for my fresh veg, milk bread etc...

On average I spend about £350 a month with Tesco, I'm set up via email to receive their special offers, subscribed to every club possible and in nearly 4 years I have NEVER received a single email off them with a discount code!

    Rant over....

That might be where you're going wrong, they don't need to tempt you in, they've already got your £££'s :D

I think you've hit the nail on the head with that....I've been thinking that is why I have never had a code from Tesco...I shop with them pretty much weekly (the odd week at asda) and spend around £280-£300 a month.
I get the odd email from asda, free delivery over £75, but I struggle to spend that much at asda because they don't stock many of the products my family likes, so I never end up using the asda codes.

Having no car, I'm pretty much at the mercy of Tesco home delivery...maybe they know that :rotfl:

There is a way round this, but it's probably not too convenient and may not be worth the effort.

It involves either switching away from Tesco altogether to another supermarket for a few weeks, or running two entirely separate Clubcard accounts (husband and wife?) and switching between them, also for a few weeks at a time.

The latter may not work, because the Tesco software is likely to make a link between the two cards if the address is the same.

The Tesco systems will spot that you've stopped shopping with them (certainly in the first method, and possibly also the second) and you should receive various offers to tempt you back. I often get £5 off £30 offers if I do this, and sometimes a series of them, each valid for a week.

Tesco is a very canny operator. Its Clubcard knows more about you than you might imagine, and if you're worth tempting back, they will try to do it.

My husband & I both have clubcard accounts. One month we do all our shopping using my clubcard, the following month using my husbands. We get an email with a £7.50 off code sent to whichever email is linked to the "inactive" account each month. :T

I wanted to use the 15% off entertainment code FTSL15-1 but it seems to be only useable once per account.
Does anybody know that if I opened a new account how different it would have to be in order to use the voucher?
I can use a different email and possibly a different payment card but would have to use the same address (and clubcard?)
    Thank you

really chuffed i used XXHB27 for my shopping today so another 1000 points. i tried this on my hubby's account a couple of weeks ago and did a dummy shop where i added 3 bottles of whisky just to get voucher to work and hold my slot... .but forgot to update basket until the morning it was due so i rang cs up and the nice lady canceled my order.

the best was that i later went into tesco's and did a shop and to my surprise the points had still been added :j :D
