Does Tesco accept vouchers even if you don't buy the item [they used to, then stopped, not sure now....lol]

Do they take other stores' promo vouchers ??

There's signs up at each till in my local store saying they won't take coupons unless you buy product.
I have however used my SAinsburys money-off coupons with no problems since the signs have been up.

I am looking for anything on tesco clothing as I intend to order £250 of goods (thru TCB or quidco) with my clubcard (double points) but can't find any discount codes or vouchers or even free delivery. As I am spending a large amount I had hoped for something - so if anyone has anything please do post it up as I think the clothing site uses different codes to the tesco direct as I have hd to register afresh for the clothing site. It's the first time I have used it for clothes and some of my items are sale items so I need to be sharpish else I might end up losing out, so I hope to order this morning as soon as possible.

Thank you for your time and I hope this was the right place to post as I am new to the forum.

I think the function to add codes after you've placed the order is on the new website which people are slowly being transferred over to.
