Sky Multi - room

I currently have sky multi-room but really want to get rid of it as we only ever use sky on the one TV. If I cancel the multi room however does this still mean that the sky box works as a receiver for BBC & ITV etc or will I need to buy a new freeview/freesat box?
I don't want to cancel it and then find that the second TV is useless but I do object to paying the extra £10 per month for nothing!
