Madasafish set up problems !!!!!!

Hi all don't know if anyone can help, I tryed to set up the router that madasafish sent me following there instructions and I can't get the broadband to connect.

When I phoned the cs at 10.30pm and spent a hour on the phone with them trying this and that I still can't get on, he said he would contact me again today but as of now still no call, thats not to say he wont but ........

any way if any one could shine some light this is what we have done so far

Reset all the browser and web settings
Reset the router
did all what the router insrutions said do

all the lights are one the router eg power, dsl, ethernet

the internet light is not on

we tryed a ping test using run-cmd and this worked ok using 192.***.1.1 but when he tryed it using https://www.bbc.co.uk it didn't .

when we did rest the router the little tv screens on the right bottom of the screen flashed up saying some thing like the router is connected but you have little or no connectivety etc

the end so far

Please be kind as broadband is not something I have not had yet !!

yes of cause, It was the proxy setting in the connection manager it was set to search for the proxy setting but it did'nt need to thus unticking this box ment it would let the modem conect to tthe net and not look for some proxy settings that it was.
