my mum is buying my house...i subscribed to sky about 6mnts ago & she took the same package (sky+/internet/lan line £27 p/m)about 3 mtns ago
so im going to take her dish down & leave my one up,i will be moving into a caravan temperary(which i cant see me having sky in but would like) may be 4 mtnhs...we are both tied in for a year contract,,whats the best way of going about getting our moneys worth..
i rekon if i leave my sky running in the house my mums buying, atleast one of us can watch it ...i know you can get a moving package or some thing like that

if i were you i would get your mum to phone up and say she is moving and go through the usual process to transfer it to the new house (your house!)
then you phone sky seperately and don't even say you are related , tell them you are moving in with someone who already has sky or you are going to be homeless for a while. i did this and they just cancel the contract (what option do you have if you don't have a wall to screw a dish to?)
then when you're ready , re apply as a brand new customer
and don't forget to sell your box on ebay or keep it as a spare0 -
cheers for the reply,,surely if i say im moving in with someone who has it or i havent got a wall to put the dish on there just carry on taking the £27 p/m out till the 12 mnths is up....but il give it a go anyway0

they didn't with me they just cancelled the contract early
they must be able to use their discretion to some degree0 -
well what a pain in the butt that was....couldnt cancel but i did take contract out so to be exspected,,so opted to the move option...my only advice is if your moving make sure you give them lots of notice.after being on the phone for ages to them they said no probs & said it would be ported to my new adress on the 1st june...found out today that im still conected at my old adress so after another hr on the phone to them they basically forgot to it....amature.com springs to mind,,,,by the way, exactly the same thing happend to my mum0

theres no reason you can not watch sky in your caravan, lots of people do it;)0

yeah my other half does in his motorhome
but if you were going into b&b or a hostel - what other option is there?
hope you get it sorted deano0
