mobile costs whilst using abroad

i used my '3' mobile to call home whilst i was away abroad and have been charged £1.80 per minute!!! This has made my phone bill almost as much as my holiday cost. Has anyone else been stitched up and does anyone know how i can get away with not paying this as its a discrace.

2. You'll soon learn being a member here that saving money and using common sense are two priorities of most people here, leading me onto..

3. Doesn't everyone know that using a mobile from abroad is extortionately expensive and you shouldn't do it.

4. RE: getting away without paying it.... I don't know any way you can, but really, you made the calls so you have to pay the costs. Saving money is one thing, but spending money and then trying to get away with it is frowned upon by most people on here.

Learn your lesson, pay the bill and you'll be a better person!

For future use abroad, look into getting the phone unlocked and using a foreign SIM card, or just stick to sending/receiving texts (but even these cost more than standard ones at home).
