GIVE It UP MOVE ON IT's ALL OVER

Look house prices are down, they are not going to sudenly magic there way back up again.

There is a thread knocking around on here that is over 2,000 post's long about people that cant sell.

Well let me help you

No amount of tidying, cleaning, or putting the dog in the back garden is going to shift your property. Paint the walls any colour you like your not goin to shift it unless you drop the price.

Fred Goodwin was a smarter bloke than you

He churned a load numbers that inflated property, hes gone and taken his pension with him. Unfortunatley you can not do this and will have to give the non existant equity back.

The sooner you realise this the quicker you will sell, If you cant lower the price take it off the market and stop wasting your time.

I hope this helps

What a very broad sweeping statement.

Clearly all areas of the country are in the same position, and no one has a hope in Hell of selling a property, unless they give it away. In fact we are at the begining of a cycle, not anywhere near the bottom.

I congratulate you on your wisdom, and the support you have sent to the 30,000 who sold property over the last month.

Nobody is saying you have to give anything away. As always the better properties and the lower priced ones are selling, but in general asking prices or price expectation is too high.

    The OP is right.

Absolutly rubbish, the higher end of the market has been more prosperous than the bottom - Bearing in mind the problem is First time buyers and no landlords, it is safe to say that these are seeing the biggest problems - The middle end of the market attracts second time buyers, those who left the market over teh last 3 years.

Presenting your home when selling is key, the only part the op has correct which you have picked up on is people having unrealistic price expectations.

Perhaps my wording was poor, What I am saying is that competitively priced properties (whichever end of the market) and those properties which are generally desirable are the ones selling. There are too many houses on for asking prices which buyers consider to be too high.

The proof of the pudding and all that.

I would say that price rather than presentation is key. I doubt many would disagree with this.

It would have been 120,000 if you just drop the price.

Whilst i partly agree with what you are saying, most estate agents are now finding the problem is lack of stock, not lack of buyers,

Supply and demand and all that.

Given the lack of available mortgage funding, this comment is also to be commended for your insight into the housing market!

By this I assume you mean new stock.

There are thousands of houses on the market in my area. Most are old stock on at 2006 prices.

So different areas of the country have different problems, well thats a shocking revelation - So the general sweeping statement was a tad wrong.
