Where Can I Spend My Paypal Takings Other Than Ebay?

To cut a long story short I am having a fight with Paypal to get it changed into my married name and am reluctant to try and withdraw Paypal money to my bank account in case of charges/refusal/money being lost etc.
I currently have £55 in Paypal and would love to buy something to treat myself but can't find what I'm after on Ebay. Are there any retailers' websites which take paypal? I know of a few craft sites but can't justify spending on crafts just now when I'm not managing to sell anything I make!
Should also say ideally I'm looking for somewhere that sells dvds, books or cds. Cheers
Any advice appreciated

Allack and Gameseeker take Paypal as does https://www.wicknwax.co.uk , they are the only sites that I know which take it.Nevermind the dog, beware of the kids!0

Do you not know anyone trustworthy who you could send the money to (via PayPal) who can then withdraw it to their bank account and write you a cheque? At least then you can pay it into your bank account and spend it on anything.0

Paypal don't charge for withdrawls to bank accounts as long as the amount is over £50.00. Our bank doesn't charge to accept the payment either.
If you have a motorbike that needs some LED lights or anything else LED, I know a very good site that accepts paypal

Thanks aeuerby but I don't need any LEDs at the mo! The problem is the surname on my paypal and bank accounts don't match which is why I'm not sure about trying the withdrawal.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 014Lightbulb Moment 12 December 05They may take our lives but they'll never take our FREEDOM!!0

Hi
I married in July and has a similar problem. I checked the FAQ's pages on Paypal regarding name change and couldn't find anything so i emailed them and told them of my situation.
They emailed me back and asked me to send a copy of my marriage certificate and they would change it .. which they did. I think it took about 2 weeks in total including posting the MC.
What problem are you facing?????0 -

Ahhh, well that may be different then. I've just been to "add a bank account" on paypal and the surname is already put in and can't be changed so I can see where your problem may be!
I then think tigermatts suggestion may be one of the best solutions.
Good luck!0 -

I don't believe this!
Phew had to blow off a little steam there!I faxed them the following:
marriage cert
copy of switch card in new name
covering letter stating reason for change was marriage
and actually I'm sure there was something else as well
They eventually e-mailed me back saying they couldn't change my name without either notice of the court order that had originally changed my name (!?!?!) or a copy of a drivers licence or passport in my new name. Passport still has 8 and a half years to run (and I left it too late and had to do the "sit in passport office and wait for it and pay a FORTUNE for the priviledge (sp?))and I don't intend to change it anytime soon! Actually I know this is going to sound petty *technically* I could change my driver licence (just can't bear the whole picture thing again) but I've already told them I don't have one as I don't drive
out of bloomin principle - they have all the info and official stuff they need!!!!
And even more mad when they seem able to do it for others not just for me
Ok rant over thanks everyone!!!
PS meerustar - any tips :rotfl:Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 014Lightbulb Moment 12 December 05They may take our lives but they'll never take our FREEDOM!!0
