So, I calculate that home buying will become affordable for about, erm, 12 people.

I was hoping for more too...this could make a difference to people trying to sell/buy round the 125-130k mark though.0

I'm really pleased by the increase as our 1 bed house is up for sale at 115000 and a lot of the smaller 2 beds in our area have been clustered at 119995, making our 1 bed seem expensive. Now hopefully some of them will be clustered at 124995, widening the gap. Yay!What did I do at work before I discovered MSE?!

Its good news for me as the offer on my flat was accepted last week at £123k which means I wont be having to pay the stamp duty saving myself £1230!0

What an old stingy. He hasn't gone out of his way to make things a little bit easier for those on, or struggling to get on the bottom row of the ladder, has he? Nasty man.
The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0 -
