    Thanks Espresso. It has restarted of course and it says Reinstalling your Norton, do i just ignore that and close that page down?

    Ok that is one thing sorted out with the help of you geniuses! (spelling)

    Now what do I do regarding my xp service pack 3? It said to back up my system how on earth do I do that?

    You only need to follow the steps for getting your product key if you have any intention of installing Norton again in the future, otherwise ignore that bit and go straight to the next stage.

    I am just stuck now on installing xp service pack 3. Do I have to do what it says because I haven't a clue what how to back up my system, what system? Does it mean all graphics/photos etc what I have saved on my laptop! :confused::confused::confused:
