The proof of delivery squiggle!

Has anyone noticed that there seems to be a lot of people who just squiggle to sign a proof of delivery. Is it just me who is a bit suspicious of this and thinks Mr Postie might be signing it himself.
Dont get me wrong ive always been appreciative of my postie signing for my items and posting them, but its not until ive posted something Recorded/Special and go on to see a squiggle as proof of delivery that it annoys me a little when I think that maybe my buyer hasnt signed for it, as I have had one buyer complain to me because they didnt sign for it.
Maybe ive just got it in for Royal Mail lately.

reminds me of a couple of weeks ago, i received an ebay item that was meant to be signed for recorded but the postie just shoved it in my letterbox. Seller got lucky! very dissapointed with rm.QUIDCO £2827 paid out since October 2007:D0

I suppose its one of those things, they are damned if they do and damned if they dont.
Personally I like it when the postie signs mine and posts it through as it save me a trip to the sorting office, but the other way round I want the actual buyers signature.
Never mind eh!0 -
My postie is brilliant - he leaves parcels at the village shop if I'm not in.
On the other hand I'm guilty of 'squiggling' if he catches me really early when I'm still in my dressing gown with no face on!"I'm ready for my close-up Mr. DeMille...."0 -
I used to have a postie who lived across the road from me when i lived in my last place. It was flats with communal halls and he just used to dump the parcels on my doorstep even ones that were supposed to be signed for (not good when i had a neighbour who would be in cash convertors once a week selling stuff to fund his drug habit! LOL) I had sooo many parcels go missing at that time (Barely suprising when in my block there was me, an ex-convict, a prositute, and a couple of smackheads!!) even the postie was a druggy and they were all mates hence me not complaining - thank goodness i moved!!! Gotta love royal mail huh?If google doesn't know it, how should i?0

Have to be honest here, I'm one of those who tends to squiggle a vague signature. Most of the time I've just been woken up by the postie at the door though, so am not quite awake yet!0

With those new electronic signature thingys it's virtually impossible to sign anything other than a squiggle - I seriously doubt anyone would ever recognise mine lolWin's so far: Cadburys Mini Eggs £1.09 Pentel Goody Bag £10 , M&S Luxury Hamper £45, 10,000 Tesco clubcard points (£100) :j0
