Orange Broadband Cancellation Fees

We have had Orange Broadband for over 2 years in our current house, however we are moving to a new property where Orange cannot supply Broadband, however they want to charge us £18.50 to disconnect the current line?

Is this correct? Because reading on their website and their terms and conditions it says there is no charge if we are moving to a house where they cannot supply us broadband.

Based on these terms and conditions, what is the best way to dispute this charge?

Cease charges

If a customer decides to cancel a broadband service (and doesn’t plan to switch to a new company which also uses BT’s network) they may receive a ‘cease’ charge. This even applies if they have completed their contract. The company is passing on a charge which it has to pay, to BT Openreach.

The cease charge is going up to £25 in June. :eek:
