Buffy I would do what Snags says and go with kitten heels - I'm guessing with your job that you might be on your feet quite a lot? if so don't go too high!
Try the personal shopper, and try the stuff on but if you don't like it don't buy it just cos she thinks it looks good. There used to be a lovely gay bloke who worked in debenhams near me and he used to find me lots of stuff... think he was actually supposed to be working in the Warehouse bit but he used to find me allsorts of stuff. Shopping is one of the reasons I'm skint_spice.

Buffy - the skirts sound okay to me - maybe I dress like a librarian too! :rotfl:

What about teaming them with shirts for a smarter look that's still practical if you're teaching all day?

I've got a couple of shirts similar to this:

    20081128_007010811760?resMode=sharp&op_usm=1.1,0.5,0,0&rgn=0,0,2000,2000&scl=5.208333333333333&id=0VK7gahBURV_-YkllX1kBZ

...which I think look good with skirts for work - although I got mine from New Look for about £20 each - I'm not a designer babe lol!

Or if that's too dressy for the classroom, what about plain black trousers and some funky tops?

Maybe there's a reason why I'm an underwriter, not a personal shopper though... :rotfl:
