could i reclaim my bank charges ? please

basically, my bank account was empty but i had a standing order on its last month

they charged me 30 pounds, natwest, because the standing order couldnt be payed out,

can i get it back ???

and , how could i get the 30 pounds back, what do i do ??????

is that even a bank charge that a described ? and if not, how do i claim that 30 pounds back, whatever it is, bank charge or not

    You need to find out if you have a bank charge first. If you have then ask the bank if they will consider a one off gesture of goodwill payment(I would cancel the standing Order). If not then it's the standard reclaim method here.

    I recommend going into a bank and telling them you have no way of paying the charge. Ask them if there are any other options and you're broke etc etc.

    I have found face-to-face people are much more sympathetic. Especially if you do puppy-dog eyes i21-14.jpg

    ask the bank if they will give you the charge back as a goodwill gesture and try to make sure you have money in the account in future when you know funds are due to come out.
